Simple Berry- Banana Smoothie
I love having something to relax with in the evening with my hubby. Usually it is a cup of coffee and a granola bar… or popcorn…. or a small bag of chips if I have the calories left over in my day and can “afford” it.
However, those snacks do not quite fill me as much as I would like and usually leave me wanting more.
Instead, I have been making smoothies for us to enjoy. They are much more filling (because making a smoothie keeps the fiber of the whole fruit, while juicing removes the fiber leaving the juice), leave no guilt after the fact, and they are so easy to make (isn’t that what attracts us to the not-so-good-for-us stuff…. how easy it is to reach out for and get?).
Smoothies
1 cup berries (I’ve used strawberries, blueberries, strawberries AND blueberries, and frozen packages of individual berries or mixed berries)
1 banana
1 cup of milk (your preference)
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
Put all of the ingredients in your blender and blend until the texture is to your liking.
